League Quick Facts

League Quick Facts:

Boys TBall - League consists of boys who are currently in Kindergarten.   NHAA will also consider Pre-K boys if parent feels their child is ready to interact with Kindergarten boys.

Boys are placed on teams and have 2 one hour sessions per week – primarily on week nights.  Focus of sessions consists of age appropriate skill development.   Each session also consists of two teams playing a game.  No score or standings are kept.

 

Girls TBall - League consists of girls who are currently in Kindergarten.   1st Grade Girls are able to play in this division if parent feels their daughter needs more development.  NHAA will also consider Pre-K girls if parent feels child is ready to interact with Kindergarten girls.

Girls are placed on teams and have 2 one hour sessions per week – primarily on week nights.  Focus of sessions consists of age appropriate skill development, as well as two teams playing a game.  No score or standings are kept.

  •  NHAA reserves the right to combine boys and girls to form a co-ed TBall League if registration does not support having separate leagues.

 

Babe Ruth (modified managers pitch) - League consists of boys who are currently in 1stGrade.  2nd Grade Boys are able to participate in this division if parent feels their son needs more development.

This league is the next step for boys after the TBall League. A hardball is used and the manager or his designate does the pitching.  If a batter is unable to hit a live pitch after a designated number of pitches, a tee is used by the batter to put the ball into play.  This league is umpired by beginning umpires trained by the NHAA who are learning along with the players.  Games are played with score being kept.

 

Roberto Clemente (modified kids pitch) - League consists of boys who are currently in 2nd grade.  3rd Grade Boys are able to participate in this division if parent feels their son needs more development.

This league is the next step for boys after the Babe Ruth League.  A hardball is used and players now begin to pitch to batters.  An out is recorded if a batter is unable to hit a live pitch after a designated number of pitches (combination of player and coach pitching).  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  This league is umpired by beginning umpires trained by the NHAA who are learning along with the players.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.

 

Willie Mays - League consists of boys who are currently in the 3rd and 4th grade.

This league is the next step for boys after the Roberto Clemente League.  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.  The season concludes with a single elimination tournament.

 

Pee Wee Reese - League consists of boys who are currently in the 5th and 6th grade.

This league is the next step for boys after the Willie Mays League.  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.  The season concludes with a single elimination tournament.

 

Sandy Koufax - League consists of boys who are currently in the 7th and 8th grade.

This league is the next step for boys after the Pee Wee Reese League.  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.  The season concludes with a single elimination tournament.

 

Modified Girls Managers Pitch- League consists of girls who are currently in 1st grade.

This league is the next step for girls after the TBall League. An 11’ softball is used and the manager or his designate does the pitching.  If a batter is unable to hit a live pitch after a designated number of pitches, a tee is used by the batter to put the ball into play.  This league is umpired by beginning umpires trained by the NHAA who are learning along with the players.  Games are played with score being kept.

 

Girls Manager Pitch - League consists of girls who are currently in 2nd and 3rd grade.

This league is the next step for girls after the Modified Girls Managers Pitch League.  An 11’  softball is used and the manager or his designate does the pitching.  An out is recorded if a batter is unable to hit a live pitch after a designated number of pitches.  This league is umpired by beginning umpires trained by the NHAA who are learning along with the players.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  This league is designed to give the girls a chance to develop their skills and help them decide to stay in recreation slow pitch or move on to 10U travel fast pitch.

  • NHAA reserves the right to place 1st grade girls in Girls TBall or Girls Manager Pitch division if registration does not support having a Girls Modified Managers Pitch league.

 

Girls A - League consists of girls who are currently in 4th and 5th grade.

This league is the next step for girls after the Girls Managers Pitch League.  An 11’ softball is used and players now begin to pitch to batters.  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.  The season concludes with a single elimination tournament.

 

Girls AA - League consists of girls who are currently in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

This league is the next step for girls after the Girls A League.  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.  The season concludes with a single elimination tournament.

 

Girls AAA - League consists of girls who are currently in 9th – 12th grade.

This league is the next step for girls after the Girls AA League.  Modified rules are used and can be found in the NHAA Managers Handbook.  Games are played, with score and standings being kept.  The season concludes with a single elimination tournament.
